A connecting tunnel section for connecting Caudon Badger Sett Nesting Chambers.
Made from 300mm diameter twin wall drainage pipe cut into 2m sections to facilitate delivery and handling. A section of the pipe has been cut away to create an upturned ‘U’- channel shape so as to allow the tunnel floor to be bare earth. Badgers have been shown to be suspicious of artificial floor surfaces, potentially deterring them from entering tunnels. Allowing the tunnel floor to remain as bare earth gives maximum chance of badger uptake in an artificial sett. 2m pipe sections can be joined using 300mm twin wall pipe straight coupling units.
