The Bee Brick is designed to replace a standard house brick and can be mortared directly into an exterior wall, providing habitat for solitary non-swarming bees. Integrating wildlife friendly building products into the fabric of new build constructions can be a step towards lessening the impact of our man-made structures on biodiversity. With careful single brick removal, these could also be retro-fitted to an existing exterior wall. Best installed facing direct sunlight (South, South East) at least 0.75m above ground level, and preferably in close proximity to bee friendly plant species. Specifications
